If it's metal and it's broken, phone before you haul it anywhere. Most of it we can do where it sits.
Further out is possible in the off season — ask. Mileage past 150 km is quoted before we leave the yard.
What we do
Two rigs on the road and a shop with a 12-foot brake, so it can come to you or come to us.
Truck-mounted welder and generator. Field, yard, corral or road allowance — wherever it stopped.
Cultivator shanks, augers, headers, hitches, grain bin repair and bucket hardfacing. Seeding and harvest get priority.
Beams, posts, mezzanines, catwalks and shop additions. Stamped drawings arranged where the job needs them.
Decks, ramps, gooseneck and pintle conversions, axle swaps, brake and light wiring put right.
Fuel and water tanks, headache racks, handrail, and food-grade stainless for the dairy and hutterite colonies.
One-offs and small runs. Cut, formed and finished in the shop, then delivered out to you.

What people say
Broke a hitch on the cultivator at ten at night in the middle of seeding. Dale was in the field by six the next morning and had us going before the dew was off.
He welded a cracked casting on a forty-year-old swather that two other shops wouldn't touch. Still holding two seasons later.
Quoted the structural job, showed up the day he said, and swept up after himself. That's three things most trades manage one of.
Who turns up
Dale has run ABC Welding out of Kestrel since 2011, after fifteen years on pipeline and structural crews between Brooks and Fort McMurray. He is ticketed, insured, and does the work himself — if you book the rig, he's the one who shows up in it.
Seeding and harvest, the phone is on from before daylight. The rest of the year, the shop is the best place to find him.
