White Anvil Web

Built before you pay.

$500 to build it · $480 a year after that

What I do

  • If customers can find you on Google but you've got no website, I'll build you one. Any local business, anywhere in Canada.
  • Auto shops, welders, salons, contractors — if people search for what you do, a website is where they should land.
  • One page, because that is all most businesses need: what you do, where you work, and how to reach you.
  • It loads fast on a phone, which is where nearly everyone will find you.
  • I handle the domain, the hosting and the email so you never have to think about any of it.

How it works

You see the site before you pay for it.

  1. I build it first

You see the real site, at a real address, before any money changes hands. If it is not right for you, you do not take it.

  2. You tell me what to change

One round of changes is included — wording, photos, colours, the services list, whatever is wrong. Send it all in one go and I will work through it.

  3. It goes live

I sort out the domain, the hosting, and an email address at your own name. You get the login details, and the site is yours.

Examples

Two sites I built to show the layout.

Both of these are made up. The businesses, the towns, the owners and the reviews are all invented, and each page says so at the top. I don't show one customer's site to another without asking, so these are built from scratch to demonstrate the layout.

Sample site · fictional business The ABC Auto sample site on a phone: a demonstration-only notice, the shop name over a dark header with a tap-to-call button, a photo of a mechanic at an open engine bay, and a 4.9-star rating with opening hours.

ABC Auto

A car and truck garage in a small Alberta town. Shows services, reviews, hours and a tap-to-call button that works on a phone.

Sample site · fictional business The ABC Welding sample site on a phone: a demonstration-only notice, the shop name over a dark header with a tap-to-call button, a photo of a welder throwing sparks, and a 5.0-star rating with the 150 km call-out radius.

ABC Welding

Mobile welding, farm and structural work. Same layout, different trade — this one leads with what they can weld and how far they travel.

Questions

The things people ask.

How much does it cost?

$500 to build it, or $750 if you want the Google Business Profile and the review system as well. Then $480 a year to keep it running, starting a year after it goes live.

Do I own my domain?

Yes. It is registered in your name, not mine. If you ever want to move it somewhere else or work with someone else, it goes with you and I will help you hand it over.

How long does it take?

About a week from when you send me your details. You will usually see the first version within a few days.

Isn't a Facebook page enough?

Facebook is good for regulars who already know you. It is not what shows up when someone searches for a plumber at nine at night, you do not control how it looks, and plenty of people will not message a page they cannot check out first. A site with your own name on it does a different job.

What if I want changes later?

Small changes are covered by the yearly fee — a new phone number, a service you have added, different hours, a few new photos. Send them any time. If you want the whole thing rebuilt, I will quote that separately.

Is there a contract?

No. The $480 is yearly and you can stop it any time — tell me before it renews and it ends there. You keep the domain either way.

About

Bruce, who runs White Anvil Web

Bruce

I'm Bruce. I kept noticing the same thing — businesses with great reputations, years of good reviews, and nothing at all when you look them up. So I started building them websites. One page, done properly, at a price that makes sense for a small operation.
